    Hey all,

Oliver and I will be on the eXplorimate podcast tonight at 9:30 PM EST. It should be uploaded to their website (www.explorimate.net) shortly thereafter. Don't think there's a live feed but you can catch the podcast afterwards. We'll be talking about the .2 build, the plan from here, the AI, and some design decisions.

I'll post the link when I have it.

    Thanks!

    -Steve

Was the update posted on a private part of the board or something? I can't find it.

It was quite good broadcast, watched it all... Lets see there the game goes from here... it still needs quite a bit of work to be done and I liked the questions about WAR systems as I honestly miss fleets visual representation on the global map when zooming up nearer to the stars, just to have a more clear idea about it... Could be a good way of interacting with fleet general (assign/dismiss) and giving orders for moving to other designated system... Anyway hands down for the developer and all his effort...

Thanks for watching Algirdas! Yeah, there's a lot of programming to do but we're really focusing on locking down the game design right now. That will save us a lot of grief later. Once we're happy with the basic design and the elements work well (and aren't overly complex) we can start adding them and balancing. Oliver is working on the majority of the war engine and he's got some really good ideas on how war will work in Imperia. I will let him share the plan but know that it's high-level - you create war plans and design Forces that you deploy to achieve an end such as conquer, capture, intimidate, go after piracy, etc. Logisitics will play a role, though they won't be super complex - it's about having enough supplies and having them in the right places in space to support your plans, not having to count every last bit of fuel and every missile. I think you'll be pleased!
